Course Aims: The course aims to introduce and develop the practical skills we use for working precious materials in contemporary jewellery making.
Course Description: This is an exciting opportunity to experiment with a variety of approaches to casting using the delft sand method, first finding and then developing suitable forms to create a mold for casting in silver.
It is anticipated that you will produce a range of progressive test pieces which could form the basis of a charm necklace or bracelet.
Techniques include: Delft sand casting, working with resistant materials to make prototypes for mold-making.
The course fee covers the cost of all non-precious materials but silver must be purchased separately. More info will be provided at the time of booking your place.
Concessionary Rates for Southwark Residents apply because of support from Southwark Council.
