Flux is a specialist jewellery studio and jewellery school based in South London.

At Flux we provide a dynamic and inspirational creative environment for you to develop jewellery making skills.

We are a small organisation of award-winning jewellers and we teach because we are passionate about our craft; we’d like to share our skills and knowledge with you too.

We offer courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. From introductory jewellery workshops to specialist short courses we encourage you explore new ways to work and design with metal.

Our teaching approach aims to develop both your design and making skills. Throughout all our courses we introduce new themes and techniques to help you find ways to express your personal aesthetic through your jewellery designs.

Because we are makers as well as teachers we have a wide understanding of all aspects of the jewellery business; our flexible approach to teaching means we can provide you with the skills you need to progress  – whether for professional development or for pure personal delight.

All our courses are non-accredited. This gives us the flexibility to teach you what you need to know, and you the freedom to choose what you want to learn. Each term we set new themes for our courses and in this way you can build your own modular learning programme, if you wish to do so.

We are pleased to offer a Flux Certificate of Attendance for courses you attend here.

Our well-equipped studio has everything you need to get started so there’s no need to purchase your own tools. We have an extensive library of specialist jewellery books too to inspire you.

We are proud to be in partnership with Southwark Adult Learning Services to bring a special programme of jewellery courses to Southwark residents at discounted rates. Check here for details

If you are already an experienced jeweller we also run a membership scheme  Flux membership is for jewellers who can work independently and need studio access to develop their work. We provide 24 hr access to our facilities, and technical and business expertise to help you develop your business, in our friendly and supportive environment.

How to keep your job when redundancies loom

The economic squeeze is on and, the Queen aside, none of us can afford to take our job for granted. We have some fantastic new weekend jewellery courses coming up in March here at Flux Studios.

If you live in Southwark you get a fantastic one-off subsidy on the fee for the jewellery course of your choice every academic year, thanks to Southwark Adult Learning Services. Some of the courses are even FREE!

If you have done a course with us before and enjoyed it, please spread the word – we want Southwark to keep sponsoring us to provide this service so we need to show how popular they are!
